The paradox of life:
Life consumes you,
Life takes away your life,
Like a mantis eating her mate.
Life runs through your veins,
Like a cobra's venom.
Yet, the mantis never ceases
In her prayerful devotion,
And the serpent's poison
Becomes the antidote.
All suffer death at Life's hands,
Life simply overwhelming our vitality.
Yet, even as Life saps our life
We live for it. Ω
