False Light

A light in the eyes!
A brilliant, dazzling sun.
Oh, forgive me,
It is only the reflection
Of the television screen,
The cell-phone light,
Technology's glare
Emitting from vacant
Sockets.

Once, natural light
Washed through the windows.
Now only fluorescence,
Tubed and bottled
Falsities, glint in
Glassy, facial spheres.
