Storm Eyes (A Song)

Storm clouds roll and billow,
Swirls of grey orbiting the dark.
In the tempest I see your soul,
Ethereal visions, troubled, stark;
Pallid vibrance the dismal mark.

Shadowed mists gather power,
Silver essence: darker, brighter,
Lightning flashes, strikes my desire to cower,
Paralyzes, enwrapping my mind tighter.

Chorus:
Storm eyes, thunder cries,
Tempests raging in your stare.
Storm eyes,
Hazy vigil blurred by pain,
A tenebrous dole
Gasped in every tear of rain.

The warm fog grows, blurred sorrows,
The clouded look of anguished woe,
Rain falls down your cheeks,
Falling from the wan spiral's flow.
Mourning light swells within,
A furious wind begins to blow,
Your soul twisting in agonized grief,
The gale howls of all you know.

(Chorus)

Streaks of vivid self-doubt
Illuminate the boundless expanse,
Thunderous cries of remorse,
Emanate from the turbulent glance.

(Chorus?)
